This research aims to present an analysis of population growth in Bogota and its
implications on the quality of life of the inhabitants in the period between 1985 and 2015,
in order to highlight the impact of this process at a time in which the city undergoes
changes towards increasing growth rates and economic development.
This research focuses on a review of five criteria with which it is intended to measure the
welfare of the citizens, to evaluate the performance over time and to identify whether each
variable is relevant to the main thrust of this study and which in turn to identify key trends
for making policy choices in the city.
