Abstract | Even as the labour policy debate has been dominated by the employer-driven labour flexibility reform agenda, the labour rights discourse has been sidelined. Hence during the post-reform period, trade unions face enormous challenges on all fronts, ranging from the ideological to the operational. These challenges, however, offer tremendous opportunities to trade unions, as they can re-formulate their agenda and restructure their movement to achieve broader goals. |
