Abstract | Gender perspective is seen in the light of the gender differences, noting inequalities that affect women health that are the product of the situation of their subordination in the society. Aspects such as social inequalities, poverty, gender inequalities, gender-based violence and globalization affect the women’s health conditions that are strongly linked to structural and cultural factors. This article presents an overview and emphasizes the Colombian case. As an alternative and in face to the need to minimize the discomfort and suffering which affect the health of women, the Differential Female Morbidity approach is proposed. |
