| Abstract | Tourism is one of the largest industries in the world today. It generates employment at all skill levels. Although growing steadily, there is a huge unexploited potential for further growth in India. As tourism is a composite sector, estimating employment or output is a complicated process. is paper attempts to estimate the total direct employment generated in India by foreign and domestic tourism using a simple and innovative method of employment coecients. |
