The All-Russian Population Census 2010 is the first census of the Russian Federation population since 2002 and the second in its post-Soviet history. Preparations for the census began in 2007 and it took place between October 14 and October 25.

Unit of Analysis
The scope of the 2010 All-Russia Population Census includes: age and sex and marital status, fertility, educational attainment, indigenous minority nationalities of the Russian Federation, etc.
The census covers all persons permanently residing in Russia.
Use of the dataset must be acknowledged using a citation which would include:
- the Identification of the Primary Investigator
- the title of the survey (including country, acronym and year of implementation)
- the survey reference number
- the source and date of download
