Abstract
Data from all four surveys were pooled and basic survey indicators and standard errors replicated to ensure that the correct computational algorithms were used. Similar indicators were obtained both from the new Health Management Information System currently maintained by the Ministry of Health and also a more restricted range for indicators from earlier years. HMIS data were obtained by district and facility. Bi-variate analysis with confidence intervals plus a very limited range of multivariate time series analysis was undertaken. This rapid time series analysis will be complemented by a multivariate analysis of the determinants of maternal health care utilisation to be undertaken in August and September 2010
