This is the first STEPS conducted by Sri Lanka.
STEPS is a household-based survey to obtain core data on the established risk factors that determine the major burden of NCDs.

The following topics were included in the survey: tobacco use, alcohol consumption, diet and physical activity. Additionally, the following measures were taken: blood pressure, height, weight, waist circumference and heart rate.
