<p>For persons age 1 or over, the age in years will be recorded in full (on the dotted line ____ years).
<br />When the person being enumerated is under the age of 1, the enumerator will make two entries: an X in box 0 (zero) and the full age in months (on the dotted line ____ months); in the case of children who are not yet one month old, the box 0 (zero) marked and recorded 00 on the dotted line (____ months).
<br />It should be noted that people's ages can always be obtained with relative precision. Thus, only in exceptional cases will the response unknown be acceptable.
