Description

Definition
This is an alphabetic variable which states where the enumerator recorded the presence of uninhabited houses or houses under construction. The field also states similar information (such as "Family away"). Entries in this field are direct transcriptions.

Commas within the field indicate the location of the site relative to the household, and whether the entries relate to houses empty or under construction or both. Three commas indicates that the next house in the street was uninhabited. An entry with one comma would indicate that the preceding house was uninhabited. Entries for houses under construction are preceded by no commas when relating to the preceding house site, and two if referring to the next down the street.
