<span class="h2">7.5 Battery III. Work context</span>
<br />Starting with this battery of questions and up to six, the information you obtain will refer exclusively to the main job of the employed population, such that it could have been performed during the reference week or they could have been absent from it, but with return assured.</p>

<p>The purpose of this battery of questions is to identify the person's position or job, their title in the occupation, the size of the economic unit and how long they have been on the job, among others. In addition, based on title in the occupation, the purpose will be, in the case of:</p>
<div class="i1">- Independent workers, identify their level of autonomy and the line of their activity.<br />- Subordinate workers, identify whether they have a written contract and access to employment benefits, as well as the form in which they accessed their job.</div><span class="em">Question 3n</span>
<br />This question is asked to paid subordinate workers, to find out the means by which they found out about the job they currently have.</p>

<div class="i1">- Given responses like: "I got it by luck" or "I got it out of necessity", clarify that what you want to know is how they found out about the job.</div><p>01. Went directly to the workplace (factory, store, workshop)</p>
<div class="i1">- People who went directly to the workplace to leave an application, resume or to interview with the owner or manager of the economic unit.</div><p>02. Went to a private job bank or employment agency</p>
<div class="i1">- Those who found out about the job through a private job placement agency.<br />- Exclude those who found out about the job by means of a job bank pertaining to a school or university, which are classified in option 10.</div><p>03. Went to a public job placement service</p>
<div class="i1">- People who found out about their current job by going to a public job placement service, such as a state employment office, a job fair organized by the government.</div><p>04. By means of a temporary government employment program (federal, state or municipal)</p>
<div class="i1">- Those who found out about their main occupation by going to a public temporary employment program.</div><p>05. Went to a labor organization or union</p>

<div class="i1">- Those who found out about their job because they saw an ad outside of an establishment or in a crowded place, such as urban truck stops, shopping centers or public plazas.<br />- The difference between people who brought their resume directly to the place of work and those who saw an ad outside the establishment is that in the former, the person sought their own opportunities and went to the economic unit that needed personnel with their characteristics, while in this option the opportunity presented itself and they took advantage of it.</div><p>08. Through a family member, friend or acquaintance</p>
<div class="i1">- People who found out about their job through comments of a third party.</div><p>09. They were offered the job</p>
<div class="i1">- People to whom the economic unit directly offered the job; for example, student in the teacher major who obtained their job based on academic merit through the SEP upon concluding their studies.</div><p>10. Other means</p>
<div class="i1">- People whose response cannot be classified on the preceding options, for example, those who found out about their job through a job bank in an educational institution.<br />- Regardless of the option you circle, continue with question 3o.</div>
