<span class="h2">7.9 Battery VII. Secondary job</span>
<br />The purpose of this battery of questions is to identify the population that has a second job, to be characterized based on the occupation or trade performed and the type of economic unit for which they work, the activities to which they are dedicated, the type of medical care they have, the size of the economic unit, the number of days and hours worked the week before the interview and the approximate amount of their income.</p>

<br />This question is asked to employed persons who have a second job to find out how many days and how many hours total they spent on their second job during the reference week.</p>

<p>Instructions:</p>
<div class="i1">- How to record when the person worked in the reference week. If a person says that yes, they worked the week before the interview, circle option 1, then enter the number of days worked and the total number of hours worked during that week.<br />- Overlap in time spent on the main job and the secondary job. If a person spends time on their second job during the hours of their main job, do the following: do not count the time dedicated to the second job during the first job's work schedule.</div><div class="i1">Examples:</div><div class="i2">- Julieta is an administrative employee, and during the workday in the office she sells foods she prepares in her home. In this case count, for the second job, only the time spent on the purchase of raw materials and preparing the foods; exclude the time spent selling them.<br />- Armando sells products by catalog at his workplace. For the second job, only count the time spent to go purchase the products ordered.</div><div class="i1">- How to record the data when the information is unknown. Enter code 9 in the days field and 99 in hours, to report that this information is unknown.<br /><br />Examples:</div><div class="i2">- Alonso says that Miguel (interviewee) only worked three days last week but does not know how many hours. In this case record it as indicated below:<br />[Omitted figure]<br />- Genaro (informant) says he does not know if Mariano, his son, went to work last week or not.<br />[Omitted figure]</div><div class="i1">- How to record the information if the person didn't work the week before. Simply circle option 2 and continue with the next question.<br />- Sequence to follow. Regardless of the information recorded, continue with question 7g.</div>
