<span class="h2">7.6 Battery IV. Characteristics of the economic unit</span>
<br />The purpose of this battery of questions is to identify some important characteristics of the economic units, taking as a starting point the establishment in which the people who are employed perform their main job. Some of these characteristics are: name, proprietary sector, type of activity to which it is dedicated, the way in which it operates (whether or not it is registered under the Law of Corporations, in the case of private companies and businesses, or the way in which the public administration of this country operates), availability of premises and accounting records, as well as the geographic level in which it performs, in the case of private companies and businesses.</p>

<br />This is asked to those employed persons who work for economic units in the private sector incorporated as corporations or in independent economic units (personal or family) that have an establishment and office, in order to identify the place where they perform their job, to recognize the volume of employment associated with companies with subcontracting practices.</p>

Identify the exact place where the worker works, regardless of the establishment where the economic unit who hired them operates.<br />- A worker who works at different sites. These cases normally occur in the service sector.<br /><br />Examples:</div><div class="i2">- Susana works as a security guard in the Tijuana airport facilities but works for Security Guard, S.A., a company that provides protection and surveillance services of personal property and real estate to different companies.<br />- Marcia works as a cosmetics promoter in a department store, although she works for an independent company.</div><p>3. <div class="i1">- Workers who go to where their clients are located to conduct their activities, as in the case of distributors, suppliers, sales agents, among others.<br /><br />Examples:</div><div class="i2">- Isela goes to the medical offices and pharmacies that have been assigned to her to promote the drugs of the laboratory for which she works.</div><p>3. <div class="i1">- Rubén is a delivery driver. He represents a dairy company. He visits the stores on the route he was assigned to supply them with the products.<br /><br />Exclude from this option transport operators, as the transport unit may be considered part of the facilities of the company for which they work, so they are classified in option 1.</div><p>4.
