Description

Definition
This variable indicates if the respondent was included in the 1980 migration/place of work/travel time subsamples. For each of the 1980 samples, the Census Bureau coded the responses for these variables for only half the cases included in the IPUMS, and gave these cases a code of 2 in this variable. The other half of the cases are coded N/A for the migration/place of work/travel time variables in 1980, and are coded 1 in this variable.
