    Abstract

This dataset contains results from the 2023 Standardized Expanded Nutrition Survey (SENS) conducted in the Ali Addeh refugee settlement, Djibouti. Data were collected from 9 July to 11 August 2023 using simple random sampling, following SENS v3 methodology. Modules include demography, anthropometry, anaemia, health, IYCF, food security, WASH, mosquito net coverage, and COVID-19 vaccination. The dataset covers children aged 6–59 months, women of reproductive age (15–49), and sampled households. Data collection was carried out via mobile devices using ODK and analyzed using ENA for SMART and Epi Info.

    Sampling

    Sampling Procedure

Simple random sampling was used to select households in Ali Addeh. All eligible children aged 6–59 months were included for anthropometry, anaemia, and health modules; a subset of households was used for food security, WASH, and maternal health modules.

    Weighting

Weights were computed based on the total population in Ali Addeh (as per ProGres figures) and the achieved sample size. Non-response rate was estimated at 5%.

    Survey instrument

    Questionnaires

Standardized Expanded Nutrition Survey (SENS) Version 3 questionnaires were adapted for local context and used to collect data on demography, nutrition, food security, WASH, anaemia, IYCF, mosquito net coverage, and COVID-19 vaccination.
