Agricultural Survey [ag/oth]
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has developed a monitoring system in 26 food crisis countries to better understand the impacts of various shocks on agricultural livelihoods, food security and local value chains. The monitoring system consists of primary data collected from households on a periodic basis (more or less every four months, depending on seasonality). FAO launched a Round 2, computer assisted telephone interview survey on 4 January 2024 to assess the agricultural livelihoods and food security of the rural population in Honduras. Data collection continued until 2 February 2024. A total of 2700 households were interviewed (150 in each department) across the 18 departments of the country. Survey estimates are representative at the administrative level 1.

Surveys are designed based on country-specific needs, objectives, and constraints. They aim to achieve a 10 percent margin of error and a 95 percent confidence level at the target administrative level (admin 1 level) for key variables within the targeted populations, including agricultural households. Specifically, a total of 2700 households were interviewed (150 in each department).
Two types of weights were applied:
The final weight was obtained by multiplying the base weight and the wealth weight.
A link to the questionnaire has been provided in the documentations tab.
