<svar a="all" v="NI95A036"><span class="em">Question 8: Water service</span><br />We are interested in knowing in what manner the occupants of the dwelling obtain water. The enumerator should read the question and mark one of the answer alternatives.<br /><div class="i1">1. Piped inside the dwelling<br />This is a dwelling that has at least one water pipe or faucet inside of the dwelling, which can be in the kitchen, in the bathroom, or in any room of the dwelling.<br /><br />2. Piped outside the dwelling but inside the property<br />This is when a pipe or faucet is installed on the patio or other place that is outside of the dwelling, with the goal of supplying water to one or various dwellings, as commonly occurs with rooming houses.<br /><br />3. River, spring or stream<br />This is a dwelling that obtains water from a river, a spring, or a stream.<br /><br />4. Public standpipe<br />This is a faucet or pipe that is situated outside of the property and is available to all of the dwellings of a community or village.<br /><br />5. Public or private well<br />This is when water is supplied through holes made in the ground to capture subterranean waters.<br /><div class="i2">Public well: This well is for the common use of various dwellings.<br />Private well: This well is for the use of only one dwelling.</div><br /><br />6. Other form<br />This is any other manner of obtaining water supplies not included in the above categories, which can be rain water, from a lake, from a truck, etc.</div><br /></svar>
