Definition

Both village Development Committees (VDC) and municipalities are political as well as administrative units of the country. There are 58 municipalities including metropolitan and sub-metropolitan and around 3700 Village Development Committees. A unique numerical number is given for each VDC and Municipality (which is called VDC/municipality code).
