Box 1 will be marked - Yes - for persons who now live in the company of a spouse (married civilly and religiously, only civilly, only religiously, or in common-law marriage) and for those who have lived as such in the past ([now] separated, divorced or widowed). Consider as living or having lived in the company of a spouse a person who cohabits or has cohabited with a spouse. Box 2 - No - will be marked only for persons who have never lived in the company of a spouse. In this case, if the person is a woman, go on to Question 35 and if a man, go on to Question 45. </svar>
