Description

Definition
Units of the local environment (SLS) is part of the rural area / village which is a government enforcement work environment villages / wards. The terms of its formation must consider the factors of population, area, location, infrastructure, and facilities and conditions of economic ability. Every village / neighborhood is formed by at least 2-3 RW / RK (Permendagri 5 Th, 1981, chapter 4). In some provinces the term village / neighborhood is also known as the hall in South Sumatra, clans and villages in Bengkulu in West Sumatra.
Neighborhood (RT) and Rukun Kampung (RK) / Pillars of Citizens (RW) is a community organization that is recognized and fostered by the government to maintain and preserve the values of Indonesian society that is based on mutual support and family as well as to help improve the convenience of the government, community development and rural / urban. In terms of size, the RT is usually smaller than RW / RK.
Number of heads of households / families in the RT is usually smaller than 30 families / family to rural and 50 for urban. Of each RW / RK usually consists of at least 2 RT 3 RT in the village and municipality (Permendagri 5 Th 1981 on the establishment of the village and the village environment, Article 4)
