Interviewer instructions

While Vanuatu boasts the highest per capita in terms of languages, data on languages are especially important in countries where more than one official language is recognized and decisions must be taken about the language to be used in schools, in official communications and so on. While a child may learn another language at school, the first language is the language spoken at home. It will be easy to identify the prevalence of language spoken at home its implications on the diverse language and culture in Vanuatu.
