<svar a="all" v="MY91A038"><span class="em">Question A6</span><br /><br />[Question A6 from the enumeration form is not presented here.]<br /><br /><span class="em">Purpose</span><br />This question is to find out the source of drinking water normally used by the HH members of the LQ.<br /><br /><span class="em">Definition</span><br />For category "piped water", it refers to PVC or metal pipes which have a tap.<br /><br />Remember that it also includes all types of piped water either from public supply or a private tank or channeled through a motor attached to the pipe. It can be categorized into two types:<br /><br /><div class="i1">(i) Piped water inside the living quarters (Code 1)<br />(ii) Piped water outside the living quarters (Code 2)</div><br /><br />Category "Others" includes rain water, river water, canal, drain, etc.<br /><br />How to ask the question<br /><div class="i1">Ask question as stated in the questionnaire. <br />You can also obtain the answer by observation.</div><br /><br />How to record the answer<br /><div class="i1">Mark "X" in the relevant code box.</div><br />If more than one source of water supply is used, record only the principal/main category.<br />To ascertain whether the piped water is inside/outside the LQ, you need to ask the respondent or observe where the main tap is located.<br />If code 4 is marked, write on the dotted line the type of water supply for drinking. <br /></svar>
