Socio-Economic/Monitoring Survey [hh/sems]
Since 1992, BPS through Susenas collecting core data (baseline data) and data module (specific data) every year. Susenas module is divided into 3 major groups, that is socio-cultural and educational modules, housing and health modules household consumption and expenditure, the implementation of each module is performed per 3 years.
Susenas is a survey designed to collect socio-demographic data in large area. The data collected were related to the fields of education, health / nutrition, housing / environmental, socio-cultural activities, consumption and household income, trips, and public opinion about the welfare of household. In 1992, Susenas data collection system has been updated, the information used to develop indicators of welfare (Welfare) contained in the module (information collected once every three years) drawn into the core (group information is collected each year).
In 2005 Susenas implement the module consumption / expenditure and household income. The data collected is the basic ingredient for calculating estimates of poverty based on consumption module Susenas three years (the latest data of 2002). However, given the poverty alleviation is a priority program of the current government; the Central bureau of statistic (BPS) attempted to provide data-poor national estimates on an annual basis. With the collecting data consumption / expenditure details every year it will be estimated annual number of poor people.
To meet the data needs of the government about the development of poor people every year, Panel Susenas collected the consumption and expenditure module data with the total sample of 10,000 households in 2003. The number of samples is only able to estimate the national poverty, while the demands of the availability data of poverty rate up to provincial level is increasing.

Scope
- Data Collected by corer questionnaire (VSEN2005.K) include:
a. General Information of household members (art) i.e. name, relationship to head of household, sex, age, marital status;
b. Information races household heads (krt).
c. Information about mother deaths during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period.
d. Information about the state of health includes the health of the population, the costs incurred for the purposes of health household.
e. Information household member education 5 years and above.
f. Information of employment household member 10 years and above.
g. Fertility information for women never married and how to prevent pregnancy for married women.
h. Housing information include the mastery of residence, the physical condition of residential buildings, residential buildings and facilities.
i. Information of the average household consumption and the main source of household income.
j. Information of the average household consumption and the main source of household income.
l. Household socio-economic information.
m. Information rice field business.
- Data Collected by Consumption Module Questionnaire (VSEN2005.M) includes:
Information on consumption and household spending includes detailed data on household consumption expenditure divided into consumption food and non-food regardless of goods origin.
a. A description of the quantity and value of consumption of food, beverages, and tobacco both purchase and own production or delivery. Consumption of food, beverages and tobacco covers 215 commodities which are divided into 14 groups.
b. Information on household spending on non-food items, including housing and household facilities, miscellaneous goods and services, clothing, footwear and headgear, durable goods, taxes, fees, and insurance, as well as expenses for the purposes of the party and ceremony.

Sample size core and module panel Susenas consumption in 2005 include 10,640 households spread across the geographic regions of Indonesia. Sample frame used for module consumption Susenas Panel 2005 is selected block census of Susenas consumption module 2005. Due to the implementation of Susenas 2005 June-July 2005, whereas Susenas Panel 2005 in February, then subsample Susenas 2005 of enumerated first and then enumeration all samples Susenas 2005 in June-July 2005. The power of estimate from result 2005 Panel Susenas only at the national level and can be differentiated according to the type of area (urban and rural).

Sampling
- Sample Core 2005 Susenas designed to estimate until the district / city level. The design of samples core Susenas 2004 was sample designs phased two for block census that are not formed sub-block census and sample design phased three for census block formed census sub block, both for urban and rural areas. Sample selection for urban and rural areas is done separately.
