Definition
This variable indicates whether a person's household falls below or above the 2000 low income cut-offs. On the basis of the total income of an economic family or an unattached individual, the size of the family and the size of the area of residence, the income status of each unattached individual and economic family is determined in relation to Statistics Canada's low income cut-offs (LICOs).
