<p><svar v="IE81A410">Question 8: Ability to speak the Irish language<br /><div class="i1">This question should be asked to persons age 3 years or over. Leave blank for children under 3 years of age.<br /><br />(i) Write "Irish only" for persons who can speak only Irish.<br />(ii) Write "Irish and English" for those who can speak Irish and English.<br />(iii) For persons who can read but cannot speak Irish, write "Read but cannot speak Irish".<br />(iv) Do not write anything opposite the names of persons who can neither read nor speak Irish.</div><br /></svar>
