Question 12 -- explanations: Highest certificate (degree)</span><br /><br />[Instructions refer to a graphic of the census form including question 12.]<br /><br />In this question the intention is to the highest degree the person received for studies in a school (see definition in explanations for question 8). This does not mean excellence/participation/appreciation certificates.<br /><br />Notice!<br />A certificate the person is entitled to should also be specified, even if he/she doesn't have it yet. For example: a person who completed the matriculation exams successfully, but still has not received the certificate or a student who completed his/her studies in the university and is entitled for a degree, but the ceremony hasn't been held yet.<br /><br />List of types of certificate (as appear in the questionnaire)<br /><div class="i1">1. Certificate of graduation from elementary school/junior high<br /><br />2. Certificate of graduation from high school -- this category will include persons who graduated from high school and do not have a matriculation certificate.<br /><br />For a person who studied in high school and passed only part of the matriculation exams, and therefore is not entitled for the matriculation certificate, mark this answer (2).<br /><br />3. Matriculation certificate -- including external matriculation certificate.<br /><br />4. Non-academic certificate of graduation from a post-secondary school, e.g. teaching authorization certificate, practical engineer certificate, authorized nurse certificate, etc.</div><br /><br /><span class="pg">[p. 26]</span><br /><br /><div class="i1">5. Academic Bachelor's degree -- if a person received an academic degree and another certificate, register the academic degree and not the other certificate (answer no. 5).<br /><br />6.
