Question 18 -- explanations: Number of working hours in a week</span><br /><br />[Instructions refer to a graphic of the census form including question 18.]<br /><br /><span class="pg">[p. 31]</span><br /><br /><div class="i1">A. In the answer, write the number of working hours the person usually works during a week: if a person worked regularly in a number of working places, write in the answer the total sum of all (weekly) working hours in all workplaces in which the person worked.<br /><br />B. The sum of working hours should also include:</div><br /><div class="i2">Overtime hours (usually worked)<br /><br />Waiting hours (such as by doctor, driver, porter etc.). Include all hours of stay in the workplace but not alertness hours.<br /><br />Working hours of a person who worked without pay in a farm or business owned by the family.<br /><br />Preparation hours related to work, even when were not carried out at the workplace.<br />For example: lesson preparation by teachers or rehearsals by artists.</div><br /></svar>
