Question 6. Type of occupied dwelling in building is to be completed by the enumerator for each dwelling.
For households renting (leasing) dwellings from individuals, all questions of Form 3 "Enumeration form -Housing stock" are to be completed.
For homeless or persons of no fixed abode, in Form 3 "Enumeration form -Housing stock" only codes 11 or 12 of question 6 are to be filled in.

Code 1 "detached house" is to be encircled when one household occupies the whole one-flat house (irrespective of ownership).
Code 2 "part of detached house" is to be encircled if in a one-flat house (irrespective of ownership) live two or more households even if the house is owned by one person.
Code 3 "separate flat" is to be encircled if the house comprises two or more flats and one household occupies a separate flat.
Code 4 "shared (communal) flat" is to be encircled if the house comprises two or more flats and if more than one households share the flat (even with a personal account for flat available). This code is to be also encircled for households living in barracks and corridor-type houses, which are not hostels.
If a household lives in a detached house or in a separate flat, but only occupies part of the floor space of the house or flat and gives the remaining part in rent, this household is to be considered to live in a detached house or separate flat.
If a household lives in a flat with two or more personal accounts opened, the code corresponding to "communal flat" is to be encircled. For households living in privatized rooms of communal flats, the code "communal flat" is to be encircled. The same code is to be used for households living in corridor-type houses, which are not hostels.
Code 5 "room or flat in hostel" is to be encircled for households living in hostels for workers, clerks, students, pupils (irrespective of the type of building: whether apartment, corridor, sector or hut type).
Code 6 "room in boarding house for the aged and invalids, children's home, etc." is to be encircled for people living in boarding houses (homes) for the aged, disabled and children-invalids, infant's and children's homes, boarding-schools for orphans and children without parental care.
Code 7 "room in other institutions" is to be encircled for those living in military barracks, prisons, monkeries, etc.
Code 8 "room in hotel" is to be encircled for those living in hotels.
Code 9 "country house" is to be encircled for households permanently living in country houses located on garden plots.
Code 10 "other dwelling (including temporary)" is to be encircled for households living in yurts, tents, vans, etc.
Code 11 "other non-residential premises used for dwelling" is to be encircled for households living in non-residential premises (garages, kiosks, rooms in institutions, stock buildings (farms), etc.).
Code 12 "lack of dwelling" is to be encircled for persons having no dwelling.
