Next, we'd like to ask you some questions about sex. We know you may be shy, but we are asking these questions to better understand the health needs of young people like you. We want to remind you that all your answers will be kept strictly confidential and no one in this community will know the answers that you give, not your parents nor anyone else.

Neither your partner nor anybody else in your family, village, or anywhere else will see the information that you report to me. If you report about your sexual relations, this will help us to better understand how HIV/AIDS has affected individuals and couples in this region, and how individuals and couples are responding in their sexual behaviors to increased risks of HIV/AIDS infection.
