Definition
For young children with a fever or cough in the past 2 weeks, FEVTRRW2 indicates, in response to an open-ended question, whether the child received treatment at a public district hospital for this illness. This response category is country-specific to Rwanda.
Some samples in the "FEVTR" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.
FEVTRRW2 is combined with FEVTRRW1 (public reference hospital) in FEVTRPUBHOS (all public hospitals) for the 2010 and 2014 Rwanda samples. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using FEVTRRW2 are encouraged to review FEVTRPUBHOS for a more comprehensive response category.
