Definition
For young children with a fever or cough in the past 2 weeks, FEVTRRW4 indicates, in response to an open-ended question, whether the child received treatment at a private clinic for this illness. This response category is country-specific to Rwanda.
Some samples in the "FEVTR" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.
FEVTRRW4 is combined with FEVTRRW3 (private polyclinic) in FEVTRPRIVHOS (all private hospitals and clinics) for the 2010 and 2014 Rwanda samples. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using FEVTRRW4 are encouraged to review FEVTRPRIVHOS for a more comprehensive response category.
