Definition
For women who gave birth in the last 5 years and who received antenatal care during their most recent pregnancy, ANCRW4_01 indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, they reported receiving care at a private clinic. This response category is country-specific to Rwanda.

Some samples in the "ANC" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

ANCRW4_01 is combined with ANCRW3_01 (private polyclinic) in ANCPRIVHOS_01 (all private hospitals and clinics) for the 2010 and 2014 Rwanda samples. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using ANCRW4_01 are encouraged to review ANCPRIVHOS_01 for a more comprehensive response category.
