ATMZ1 indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, the woman reported a voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) center as a place to be tested for the AIDS virus. This response category is country-specific to Mozambique.

Although IPUMS-DHS integrates "public VCT center" (see ATPUBVCT) and "private VCT center" (see ATPRIVVCT) across samples, ATMZ1 is not included in either of these integrated variables because ATMZ1 does not specific whether the VCT is in the public or the private sector.
