Definition
For women who gave birth in the last 5 years and who received antenatal care during their most recent pregnancy, ANCMZ3_01 indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, they reported receiving care at a public "rural hospital." This response category is country-specific to Mozambique.

Some samples in the "ANC" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

ANCMZ3_01 is combined with ANCMZ1_01 (Public central hospital) and ANCMZ2_01 (Public provincial hospital) in ANCPUBHOS_01 (all public hospitals) for the 2011 Mozambique sample. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using ANCMZ3_01 are encouraged to review ANCPUBHOS_01 for a more comprehensive response category.
