Description

Definition
Like INTYEAR (V007), INTYEAR_ET (V007_ET) reports the calendar year the interview took place. However, this variable is country-specific to Ethiopia, as dates are reported using the Ethiopian calendar. For most other countries, the year of interview is reported using the Gregorian calendar. Overall, there is a 7 to 8 year gap between the Ethiopian calendar and the Gregorian calendar dates.

For 2000 and 2005 only, the Ethiopian calendar dates were also converted to the Gregorian calendar. INTYEAR thus includes values for Ethiopia 2000 and 2005, according to the Gregorian calendar.
