Definition
GEOALT_RW2014 reports the district of Rwanda where the respondent was interviewed.
Other sample years have their own sample-specific geography variables. The integrated variables GEO_RW1992_2005 and GEO_RW2005_2014 provide spatially consistent units for Rwanda over time. Information from GEOALT_RW2014 is not available in GEO_RW1992_2005 or GEO_RW2005_2014 due to inconsistent boundaries (see GEO_RW2014). Less geographic detail for the Rwanda 2014 sample can be found in GEO_RW2014.
A GIS map for GEOALT_RW2014 (in shapefile format) can be downloaded from the DHS Program Spatial Data Repository [URL omitted from DDI.] Boundaries page.
