Description

Definition
For children with diarrhea in the past 2 weeks, DIATRRW4 indicates, in response to an open-ended question, whether the child received treatment from a private polyclinic. This response category is country-specific to Rwanda.

Some samples in the "DIATR" series include multiple categories that can be consolidated into a single broad response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable, while also preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

DIATRRW4 is combined with DIATRRW3 (Private hospital/clinic) in DIATRPRIVHOS (all private hospitals/clinics) for the 2014 Rwanda sample. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using DIATRRW4 are encouraged to review DIATRPRIVHOS for a more comprehensive response category.
