Definition
GEO_UG2011 (V101_UG2011) indicates the region of Uganda where the respondent was interviewed. DHS regions in the 2011 Uganda survey are equivalent to grouped districts.

Other sample years have their own sample-specific geography variables. There are also integrated variables GEO_UG1995_2016 and GEO_UG2006_2016, that provide spatially consistent units over time.
