Definition
For children whose mothers received antenatal care, ANCPK1 indicates whether the mothers received care at a public rural health center (RHC) or mother and child health (MCH) center. This response category is country-specific to Pakistan.

Some samples in the "ANC" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

ANCPK1 is combined with ANCPK2 (public basic health unit/family welfare center) in ANCPUBHC (all public health centers) for the 2006, 2012, and 2017 Pakistan surveys. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using ANCPK1 are encouraged to review ANCPUBHC for a more comprehensive response category.
