Description

Definition
For young children with a fever or cough in the past 2 weeks, FEVTRIA5 indicates, in response to an open-ended question, whether the child received treatment from a "government paramedic" for this illness. This response category is country-specific to India.

IPUMS-DHS users should be careful to distinguish FEVTRIA5 (government paramedic) from FEVTRIA10 ("paramedic" under the private sector).
