    The Migration Survey is conducted on a monthly basis and is integrated with LFS.
    Abstract

    The Migration Survey provides internal migration statistics at the state and urban and rural levels. The methods used are the same as the LFS and SWS. On the operational side, the Migration Survey questions were asked to householders 1 year and older. The objective of the Migration Survey is to provide estimates of population movement at the state level over a period of time. In addition, the survey aims to provide information on demographic and socioeconomic characteristics of migrant and non-migrant populations such as age, gender, ethnic group, marital status, educational attainment, and population migration factors. The information collected is published in the 'Migration Survey Report'.
