Definition
Komputer adalah mesin penghitung elektronik yang cepat dan dapat menerima informasi input digital, kemudian memprosesnya sesuai dengan program yang tersimpan di memorinya, dan menghasilkan output berupa informasi. Konsep International Telecommunication Union (ITU) komputer menurut adalah desktop atau laptop. Sedangkan hand phone/mobile cellular phone, Personal Digital Access (PDA) tidak dikategorikan komputer meskipun mempunyai kemampuan untuk menghitung seperti
komputer.

Desktop/Personal Computer (PC) adalah komputer yang berdiri sendiri dan tidak saling berhubungan dengan komputer lain.
