Definition
For children whose mothers received antenatal care, ANCBI3 indicates whether they received care at a public regional reference hospital. This response category is country-specific to Burundi.

Some samples in the "ANC" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

ANCBI3 is combined with ANCBI1 (public national reference hospital) and ANCBI2 (public regional reference hospital) in ANCPUBHOS (all public hospitals) for the 2016 Burundi survey. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using ANCBI3 are encouraged to review ANCPUBHOS for a more comprehensive response category.
