Definition
For children with a fever or cough in the past 2 weeks, FEVTRLS1 indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, the child was reported to have received treatment from a CHAL [Christian Health Association of Lesotho] hospital. This response category is country-specific to Lesotho.

Some samples in the "FEVTR" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

FEVTRLS1 is combined with FEVTRLS2 (CHAL health center) and FEVTRLS3 (CHAL health post) in FEVTRPRIVMIS (all faith-based facilities) for the 2009 and 2014 Lesotho samples. FEVTRLS1 is combined with FEVTRLS2 in FEVTRPRIVMIS for the 2004 Lesotho sample. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using FEVTRLS1 are encouraged to review FEVTRPRIVMIS for a more comprehensive response category.
