Definition
For surviving children born in the three to five years before the survey, KIDAGEMO (HW1) reports the child's age in months at the time of the mother's interview (and at the time of the height and weight measurement of the child). This information is useful for calculating child malnutrition indicators such as height-for-age (stunting) and weight-for-age (underweight). The DHS Recode manuals report that the child's age in months is calculated from the century month code of the date of interview minus the century month code of the date of birth of the child.
