Definition
For children whose mothers received antenatal care, ANCNP5 indicates whether the mother received care at a private clinic. This response category is country-specific to Nepal.

Some samples in the "ANC" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

ANCNP5 is combined with ANCNP4 (private hospital/nursing home) in ANCPRIVHOS (all private hospitals and clinics) for the 2016 Nepal sample. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using ANCNP5 are encouraged to review ANCPRIVHOS for a more comprehensive response category.
