Definition
Like INTYEAR (V007), INTYEAR_NP reports the year the interview took place. However, this variable is country-specific to Nepal, as the data are coded using the Nepali calendar. For most other countries, the year of the interview is reported using the Gregorian calendar. The Nepali calendar is roughly 57 years ahead of the Gregorian calendar.
