The population of adolescent population in Nepal was reported to be 5370934 in 2001 (23.6% of total population). Young people (10 - 24 years of age) are at the center - stage of the Reproductive Health Program of Nepal. Recently a survey has been conducted in Nepal: Adolescent and Youth Survey, Nepal 2010, which provides ample information on the status of adolescents regarding the issues of reproductive health. Besides, the Population Perspective Plan (PPP) 2010 also highlights the activities to be undertaken b y different sectors for the youth. In addition, Nepal Health Sector Program - 2 (2010 - 2015) specifically mentions the activities that need to be undertaken for the reproductive health issues.
