Abstract
This monograph presents an effort to develop population projections relevant to the needs of family planning program administrators. The projections developed here can be computed with either a calculator or a computer, so that they can be used on the provincial level. In this 2nd edition, the component projection method uses data from the 1985 Indonesian Intercensal Survey (SUPAS). In so doing, variants which most closely resemble the SUPAS results can be identified. It is evident from both population levels and growth that variant VI represents the best projection. More advanced analysis is slated to be performed after the publication of the complete SUPAS results.
