This study estimates the current supply of microcredit provided by credit unions in Brazil. It is intended to provide a better understanding of the role of credit unions as a channel for financial inclusion, as well as creating subsidies for the improvement of business models and public policies, making the performance of microfinance more effective as a tool for social inclusion and local development.
