In this study an attempt is made to investigate the covariates of mortality of first births in the infantile ages [in Bangladesh]....The specific objectives of the study are: to identify the covariates in order of importance in influencing the mortality of the first births in the infantile age in Bangladesh; to study the relative impact of mother's and father's education on the mortality of the first births in [the] infantile age in Bangladesh; and to study the changes in the impacts of parents' education when other covariates are controlled.
